morrish et error

A hybrid choreographic/vocal work that tells the story of renowned improviser Andrew Morrish through his inability to perform a play about Ovid's Metamorphoses. It was developed and co-devised at Critical Path as part of a two-week Artist-In-Residence with performer Andrew Morrish, playwright Anthony Coxeter, musical director Nate Gilkes and choreographer Adelina Larsson. A documentation of the development can be viewed here, A series of workshops also ran with Andrew Morrish at Critical Path over 12th-14th November, 2018, at The Drill Hall in Rushcutters Bay focusing on improvisation, experimenting with a range of movement and vocal scores tangential to the creative development of Morrish et Error. It is currently in development as a dance film installation with acclaimed videographer Deborah May.
