Distributed 15 is a new work facilitated by Annette Carmichael Projects that will be developed over 15 threads of activity from 2020–2023.
This multi-artform, community project explores ways of distributing knowledge, action and shared responsibility for people and the natural world. In 2023, the project culminates in a large-scale performance distributed across multiple sites and communities in regional Western Australia.
It will feature over 25+ artists. The bold idea to bring contemporary dance with themes of ecological change and hope to communities across the south of the State including Margaret River, Northcliffe, Porongurup, Fitzgerald Biosphere (Ravensthorpe) and Kalgoorlie needed a bold supporter with a vision for the future of our natural environment.
In July 2021, Annette was delighted to announce a key partnership with Gondwana Link for this project, linking their ambitious goal of creating 1000km of continuous native habitat across regions with Annette’s vision of a large-scale arts project championing the connection between people and the natural world. Adelina Larsson will create and perform work as a featured artist in Margaret River, and Anthony Coxeter is engaged as Annette's dramaturge across all sites.
